Our mission is to ensure that every primary school in the UK has a library or dedicated library space. We campaign for change and run programmes that create a strong reading for pleasure culture in primary schools.
Libraries for Primaries is a fully funded programme and free to join, offering eligible schools an incredible package of books, resources, training and support to establish or improve a school library.
When children read for pleasure they get better grades at school, show more empathy towards others and report higher levels of wellbeing. Our publications make the case for universal primary school library provision.
